Friendship Club

The City of Albany Friendship Club is a program for youth in grades 1–5 offering activities led by City staff. Programs include afterschool care, seasonal camps, and the Junior Counselor program. These programs help youth connect with their community and build friendships.

  

Friendship Club is an afterschool program for children in grades 1–5 that provides a safe and engaging environment for play, creativity, and connection. The program is held at Ocean View and Memorial Parks and includes games, crafts, outdoor activities, and opportunities that support social and emotional development.

Friendship Club’s Junior Counselor program offers youth in grades 6–10 hands-on leadership experience while assisting staff with games, crafts, and activities. It’s a great way to build confidence, earn service hours, and have fun.

Friendship Seasonal Camps provide programs for children during school breaks, including winter and spring break. Friendship Camp is a full day program, while Arts and Crafts Camp and Pokémon Camp are offered as half day programs.

Financial subsidies are available for the Friendship Club Afterschool Program, Junior Counselor Program, Seasonal Camps, and Summer Camps. Applicants must live in Albany and meet income eligibility requirements. Families interested in receiving a subsidy should apply before registering for a program.
