Concerts in the Park Series Begins Tomorrow

The City of Albany Concerts in the Park series begins tomorrow evening! They are free, family-friendly outdoor concerts held at Memorial Park, 1325 Portland Avenue, from 6-7:30 pm on Wednesday evenings during the summer. This year, there will be three shows on August 13, 20, and 27.

The series kicks off with Steady Eddy and the Shakers, a high energy Motown mashup band. On August 20, Groove Ride rolls in, a party band performing the best dance music from the 70's to today. Closing the series will be Lucky Drive on August 27, playing a wildly eclectic mix of rock and soul dance tunes.

At City of Albany’s Concert in the Park, we want you to kick back and enjoy the music in total comfort.

• Seating: Bring a blanket or lawn chair—seating is open and first-come, first-served.
• Weather Preparedness: Albany summers can be warm, but they also can be cool and breezy—dress in layers for comfort.
• Facilities: Restrooms are conveniently located near the play structures at Memorial Park.
• Bring Your Own Picnic: Support local businesses by grabbing food and beverages from nearby restaurants to enjoy during the show.
• Bike Parking: Skip the parking hassle. Free bike parking is available at for the event.
