Sandbags Available as Albany Prepares for Rainy Season

The rainy season is arriving in Albany, and the City is reminding residents that free sandbags are available to help prepare for wet weather. Sandbags can be picked up from the Albany Fire Department, and sand is available at Ocean View Park for residents to fill their bags.

This seasonal service is offered to support the community during periods of heavier rain and to help reduce the risk of localized flooding. Residents are encouraged to stay aware of changing weather conditions, clear gutters and drains, and take simple steps to protect their homes ahead of incoming storms.
