2026 Textile Curbside Collection

Cleaning out your closet? Don’t send those textiles to the landfill, recycle them instead! WM and Goodwill are working together to offer convenient curbside textile collection for Albany residents that supports reuse and fiber recycling.

Accepted items include clothing, socks, fabric, curtains, towels, linens, bedding, pillows, and scarves. Items can be new, gently used, or well-loved, even ripped or stained textiles are welcome.

This year the program has expanded to three collection dates in 2026 and will include multi-family residents. A reminder postcard with program instructions will be mailed to residential customers and multi-family property managers. For residential customers, textile collection will take place on your regular collection day during April 20-24. For multi-family residents, collection will take place on Thursday, April 23. Additional collections will take place later this year the weeks of July 13-17 and October 12-17.
