Teen Service Showcase This Sunday

Join the Alameda County Albany Library and the City of Albany this Sunday, January 11 from 2-5 p.m. at the Albany Community Center (1249 Marin Avenue) for the Teen Service Showcase. Honoring MLK Day, this event brings together teen service organizations to share their experience of giving back in their communities.

It will feature a live music performance by the Berkeley School of Rock House Band and the Albany High School Vocal Soul acapella group as well as readings from Alameda County Youth Poet Laureate finalists. The Youth Poet Laureate serves as an ambassador to inspire civic engagement, social justice, cultural awareness, and literary excellence in our communities. Albany High School Service Clubs will be tabling and presenting their work.
