Interested and qualified citizens of the City of Albany are encouraged to run for office for the Albany City Council (2 seats for 4-year term) or the Albany Unified School District Board of Education (3 seats for 4-year term and 1 seat for 2-year term).
A nomination packet for the upcoming November election can be obtained in the City Clerk's Office by appointment during the nomination period, Monday, July 13 through Friday, August 7 at 12:30 p.m.
A list of potential candidates can be found at AlbanyCA.gov/Candidates. The list is updated daily during the nomination period.
