4th of July in the Park Offers Fun for the Whole Family

Celebrate the 4th of July with friends and family at Albany's Memorial Park! This free event is packed with entertainment, food and activities for everyone to enjoy!
Entertainment for All Ages
The legendary Banana Slug String Band will kick off the day's entertainment. With 40 years of experience and counting, the Banana Slugs have captured the hearts of millions of children with their infectious energy and environmentally conscious message. Their unique blend of folk, rock, and reggae creates a fun and engaging atmosphere that inspires kids to learn and grow.
The Puppet Company, created by Randall Metz, will close the event with a puppet show performance. Their shows are told with humor and delight the eyes with well crafted puppets and colorful scenic effects.

Tasty Food Options
A lineup of delicious meals from local food vendors and food trucks offer something for everyone throughout the event. Guests can choose from a wide variety of cuisines, desserts, and snacks throughout the day. All vendors will be located within the main event footprint for easy access.
At 1 p.m., the Albany Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a free ice cream giveaway. Don’t miss this sweet community highlight!
Carnival Games and Activities
Enjoy a wide array of carnival games, including duck pond, ping pong toss, and spin it to win it! Earn tickets as you play, collect them throughout the day, and then head to the Prize Tent to redeem them for fun prizes. In addition, there will be unreal airbrush tattoos, bubble stations, a photo booth, and giant lawn games.
