The goal of the Marin Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project is to improve travel, pedestrian crossings, and drainage. This year, as part of Phase 2 of the project, improvements are being completed along the street between Key Route Blvd and Tulare Ave, including new intersection lighting.
Street paving and traffic striping were completed in May. In June, new signposts and stamped concrete at corners were installed. Asphalt and landscaping restoration at Carmel is scheduled for this month. The signal switchover and removal of old poles at the Peralta intersection is scheduled for early August. New streetlight luminaires and the new Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon at Ventura are expected to be online in August.
