Marin Avenue Street Paving Begins April 6th

Street paving as part of the Marin Avenue Pavement Rehabilitation Project, Phase 2, is tentatively scheduled between Monday April 6th and Friday April 17th (weekdays only and work hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.). Work limits are along Marin Ave between Key Route Blvd and Tulare Ave with paving slightly extending off Marin Ave to side streets between Pomona Ave and Ventura Ave. For more information about the project, you may visit the project webpage at Albanyca.gov/Marin-Ave-Pavement-Project-2.

Impacts on Streets & Sidewalks:
  • The majority of paving operations is targeted for the AUSD Spring Break to minimize impacts to pedestrians and traffic.
  • Access to residences will be maintained but please plan for extra time when traveling through the construction zone. There will be brief intervals where residents are unable to immediately enter/exit driveways. Parking off of Marin Avenue is recommended if timely travel is necessary.
  • Pedestrians will be detoured around active work area – please follow the direction of construction crews when navigating in the area.
  • No Parking signs will be posted on barricade signs 72 hours in advance. Please do not park where the temporary NO PARKING signs are placed during the times posted on the signs.
  • Expect heavy traffic and watch for pedestrians and cyclists. Please slow down when approaching the project area and follow construction crew directions.
